PETROS BABASIKAS OFFICE is an interdisciplinary
design practice working with architects, designers, artists, developers,
engineers, private clients, public benefit and non-for profit institutions
internationally. Its works-in-progress
include residences, urban renewal, public space and installation projects.
Petros Babasikas is an architect working in Toronto CA and Athens GR. He is principal of PB OFFICE, licensed in Greece and the EU. Petros’ projects also include cultural spaces, pavilions and masterplans. He was founding partner of Drifting City – a design collaborative in Athens GR and Los Angeles US – until 2017.
Petros has designed and built installations, art exhibitions, interfaces and web-based projects with the art & design agency Mind the Map. He is Assistant Professor, teaching stream, at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto, where he researches Public Space, Global Housing, Urban Renewal and DIY Urbanism.
Petros works explore the relationship among architecture, storytelling, media and public space. His projects have received international awards and grants; his works have been exhibited and his texts published internationally. He holds a BA from Columbia University and a Masters of Architecture from Princeton University. He is an Associate Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences and vice-Chair of UWC Greece.
