DEPRESSION ERA 2
Exhibition, Brussels 2014
The Depression Era Project inhabits the urban & social landscapes of the Crisis. It is a collective storytelling experiment, among 36 artists, photographers, filmmakers, writers, designers and academics. In the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels a narrative of image groups & text fragments was suspended in shallow spaces behind, up close, or on the bay windows of Atelier Bouwmeester —a workspace & exhibition venue on a busy arcade— broadcasting images and untold stories of the crisis in the European Capital. The design recreated a fraction of DE’s Mosaic and opened Viewports to parallel realities in a vertical plain between the flow of work and traffic, measured against & speaking directly to the pace of the passerby.
